Create a homepage that converts + download checklist

Let’s talk about your homepage!

First impressions matter even on your website. Sometimes people get so excited with design that they go for it and the content gets put on the back burner. If people don’t know what to do or you make it hard for them to do something simple like find your contact info, they will leave your website.

There is a strategic way to layout your homepage and it starts with your goals.

What do you want people to do when they land on your website?

What are you focusing on currently in your business? A new course you’re offering? A specific service? Growing a Facebook Group? Growing a podcast audience?

The order of the sections on your homepage depends on the goals you have.

The sections can include the following:

  • Top Hero Banner

  • Services

  • Connect

  • Testimonials

  • About Intro

  • Opt-in

  • Social Medias

  • Features

  • Blog / Other medias

  • Footer

You don’t need to use all the sections. There is such a thing as too many call to actions! Too many call to actions can be overwhelming and results in not taking action at all.

If you are focusing on selling a course your home page may look like: Top hero banner, features, service (which would be the course), testimonials, about intro, one last call to action, and the footer. That’s it!

The order of your homepage shouldn’t change often but as the focus of your business changes your homepage should reflect that.

Download the guide Create A Home Page the Converts I go over WHAT goes in each section PLUS a checklist to help you build your homepage.

Once you have your content down then that’s when you spruce the page up with great photography and amazing design. Strategic content + great photography + amazing design = Standout home page!
